Painting & Drywall

Interior & exterior painting, drywall repair, and smooth finishing—precision work that refreshes your home

Paint is only as good as the prep. We fix the surfaces first—cracks, nail pops, dents, uneven seams—then we paint with clean lines, even coverage, and durable finishes that handle real life (kids, pets, salty Halifax air, and all).

What we do

  • Interior Painting: Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, stairwells, cabinets (project-dependent), and full refreshes.
  • Exterior Painting: Siding, trim, doors, decks/railings—properly prepped for coastal weather.
  • Drywall Repair: Holes, cracks, water stains (after the source is fixed), nail pops, damaged corners, and patches.
  • Skim Coats & Leveling: Smooth out texture, waves, and old patchwork for a “new wall” look.
  • Taping & Mud: New drywall finishing and seamless joints for renovations and remodels.
  • Caulking & Trim Prep: Crisp edges and sealed gaps so the finish looks sharp, not sloppy.

Our process

  1. Protect & Prep: Floors covered, furniture protected, hardware masked/removed, and surfaces cleaned.
  2. Repair & Smooth: Patch, tape, mud, sand—repeat until the wall is actually flat (not “good from far”).
  3. Prime Properly: Stain-blocking or bonding primers where needed for uniform colour and adhesion.
  4. Paint with Precision: Cut lines, roll evenly, and apply the right number of coats for real coverage.
  5. Cleanup & Walkthrough: Reinstall plates/hardware, tidy site, and final punch-list together.

Signs you need drywall repair or repainting

  • Cracks at corners, ceilings, or around doors/windows
  • Nail pops, dents, gouges, or bubbling/peeling paint
  • Old patches that “telegraph” through the paint
  • Water stains (after the leak is repaired) or musty drywall sections
  • Faded exterior paint, chalking, or exposed wood/trim

Finishes & options

  • Sheens: Flat/matte for ceilings, eggshell for walls, satin/semigloss for trim—chosen for durability + look.
  • Primers: Stain-blocking, bonding, and high-build primers depending on the surface.
  • Trim details: Caulking lines, sharp corners, and clean transitions—where “pro” is obvious.
  • Exterior protection: Proper scraping, sanding, and sealing so paint doesn’t fail early.

Warranty

Workmanship warranty on our prep and application. We’ll also tell you the truth about what can shorten paint life (bad surfaces, moisture, and cheap previous layers) so expectations match reality.

FAQs

Do you paint over water stains? Only after the source is fixed. Then we use stain-blocking primer so the stain doesn’t bleed back through.

Why does my wall look bumpy after painting? Usually poor patching/sanding or inconsistent primer. Smooth walls are made before the paint can ever look good.

How long does it take? Small rooms can be 1–2 days; full interior repaints or heavy drywall repairs take longer. You’ll get a clear timeline in writing.
